Who can identify with this lady? Since the advent of the smart phone, most if not all who own such devices would be looking at their phones if they had to be waiting for something, giving me the perfect opportunity to practise some people sketching. I don’t often find people reading books anymore in waiting rooms. I even spotted an elderly lady using a Kindle the other day. But I do like my Kindle though, so much lighter and more portable than traditional books, especially if the book is a thick one like one of my all time favourites, Gone With The Wind.
Then sometime later in the day, I spotted this very cool car (which my OH assures me is a Ferrari), parked along our quiet suburban street next to a house which is for sale. Is the real estate business doing so well now, that one of the agents is driving such an expensive and posh car? Anyway, it’s a lovely shape, so I decided to sketch its lines quickly as I didn’t want anyone to think I was marking the car out for car-jacking or something.
I am pretty happy with myself, as I seem to have gotten back my mojo for urban sketching. Will work on improving the energy of my lines.
